Founded in 2007, Greenworks is an industry-leading producer of lithium-ion battery technology and outdoor power equipment that is produced by its parent company, Globe Tools Group. The company offers a large line of branded products that include 24-, 40-, 60-, 80-, and commercial-grade 82-volt battery-powered equipment and a full line of corded equipment and reel mowers. During the last decade, Greenworks has produced a G-24 line of battery-powered tools; the industry’s first dual-blade, battery-powered cordless lawn mower; and, in November of 2016, a full line of 60-volt lithium-ion products sold exclusively in stores and online by Lowe’s Home Improvement. The company caters to do-it-yourself customers as well as landscaping professionals who are seeking the right tool for every job. Greenworks customers are generally environmentally conscious, technology-focused individuals who want tools that get the job done but don’t carry the hassle, noise, and emissions of typical gas-powered items. The release of the Greenworks Pro 80-volt lithium-ion products toward the end of 2014 gave homeowners more power to complete outdoor projects. A subsequent launch two years later of a dedicated line of 82-volt commercial-grade lithium-ion products was specifically geared to meet the needs of professional landscapers. Greenworks has a range of corded, cordless, and manual lawn mowers that range from highly economical to higher-end machines that are pricier, with voltages that range from 40 to 80. Several of these mowers include brushless motors and options to bag and mulch. Given the company’s eco-friendly focus, it’s no surprise Greenworks also offers quality reel lawn mowers with deck sizes that range from 16 to 20 and can bag clippings. Beyond its quality mowers, Greenworks offers other products for yards such as a wheelbarrow, string trimmers, cultivators, dethatchers, a chipper/shredder, and an edger. Along with batteries, chargers, and accessories, Greenworks also carries a snow blower, pressure washers, air compressors, and hand tools such as saws, drills, work lights, and a cordless handheld vacuum. Utilizing what many consumers feel is best-in-class technology, Greenworks tools deliver the power and performance of comparable gas-powered tools without the mess, fumes, vibration, and noise. During the last few years, the company has expanded its operations in North America with a 40,000-square-foot office in North Carolina. In early 2017, Greenworks relocated in Europe to Sweden to serve its rapidly expanding markets in Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. Additionally, the company opened an e-commerce office in Seattle in an effort to enhance its sales and personal relationships with online retail partners.
