Robotic assistant devices are increasingly popular, to the point that they have not evolved to include high-quality robotic lawn mowers like the Husqvarna Automower 115H. It uses state-of-the-art lithium-ion battery technology for longer life and superior performance. On a single charge it can cut grass for up to 60-minutes. This makes it ideal for neatly maintaining a lawn of around .4 acres all on its own.
The onboard programming that runs the Husqvarna Automower 115H will return the robotic mower to the charging station. It also does an impressive job of closely following the perimeter wire. You might want to also note that it comes with more perimeter wire and staples than the closest competitors, which is handy for lawns with a lot of trees and tightly spaced landscaping features. There is also a do-it-yourself installation kit available.
The Husqvarna Automower 115H was also designed with weather resistance in mind. It can even operate and continue mowing during a light rain, which is something a lot of similar size and priced robotic lawn mower’s cannot boast.
The Husqvarna Automower 115H can also handle rough terrain and is capable of cutting grass while navigating up a 17-degree slope. The height of the cutting deck can also be adjusted from as low as 2 inches or as high as 3.6-inches for a custom cut, based on the prevailing weather and turf moisture conditions.

Performance
The onboard lithium-ion battery in the Husqvarna Automower 115H has a 60-minute average maximum run time on a full charge. This is slightly better than a lot of the shoulder-to-shoulder competitors. The extra amount of perimeter wire and the added staples let you more effectively cover a lawn with complicated landscaping or multiple, tightly spaced trees.
The Husqvarna Automower 115H can also handle rough terrain and is capable of cutting grass while navigating up a 17-degree slope. Though this is slightly less than some of the competitors in this class that can handle a 22 to 25-degree slope. So, the Husqvarna Automower 115H might not be the best option for a lawn with a lot of steep hills.
It’s also worth noting that the Husqvarna Automower 115H was designed to be water resistant. In truth it can even handle some light rain and keep cutting. Though this is still within reason, and you should have it dock back at the charging station out of the weather in anything heavier than a passing sprinkle.
Ease Of Use
Like the vast majority of robotic lawn mowers, the Husqvarna Automower 115H takes a fair amount of set up. You need to set up the perimeter wire and staple it in place. This is included in the DIY instructions that come with the robotic mower. Once you get it properly dialed in, the Husqvarna Automower 115H is very easy to use.
Though if there is a small complaint here it’s that there isn’t a GPS feature that comes with the control app. The Husqvarna Automower 115H strictly relies on your perimeter wire installment. So, make sure to be meticulous in that phase.
Special Features
The additional perimeter wire and staples along with the DIY kit is very convenient. While it might seem a little nuts and bolts, you do get more setup supplies than you do with a lot of similar robotic lawn mowers.
The water resistance is also very handy for times when you don’t want a minor passing shower to prematurely end a mowing session or potentially damage the Husqvarna Automower 115H robotic lawn mower.
Cut Quality & Options
The Husqvarna Automower 115H is designed to mow frequently. For a lawn of .4 acres or less, this translates into tiny pieces of harvested grass clippings that are conveniently deposited back into the turf. While it doesn’t technically count as being a “Mulching Mower” this frequent style of cutting reproduces the benefits of a mulching mower.
The tiny pieces of grass clippings are more likely to decompose, rather than dry into thatch, which can gradually start to choke out your turf over time. As they decompose they also help to feed small amounts of evenly disbursed nitrogen throughout your turf, which might even help cut down on your seasonal fertilizing and aeration costs.
You can also adjust the cutting height of the Husqvarna Automower 115H’s mower deck. In normal conditions, you can leave it set at the minimum height of 2-inches. Though you can dial it up as high as 3.6-inches when the prevailing weather is dry and you want to maintain some of the soil’s ambient moisture.
Maintenance
Once you get it properly set up, the Husqvarna Automower 115H requires very little maintenance. The most common thing is replacing the mower blades. This could happen once or twice a year, as like a lot of robotic lawn mowers, the blades are relatively small.
The Husqvarna Automower 115H is designed to maintain it’s own charge, and will return to the charging station as needed. All without any necessary interference from you.

Safety Features
The Husqvarna Automower 115H is designed to closely follow the perimeter wire, and you get a lot of it in the purchase, along with copious numbers of staples. This makes it very easy to protect all the important elements of your lawn and landscape while also ensuring that your grass gets the tight, manicured look you truly want from your robotic lawn mower investment.
Cost-Effectiveness
Like a lot of other well-designed robotic lawn mowers the Husqvarna Automower 115H is a very cost effective way to maintain a lawn of .4 acres or less. The frequent mowing pattern that it uses will also leave behind a minimal amount of thatch, which will decompose quickly. This helps feed your lawn without additional fertilizer costs, while also reducing your chances of needing to aerate your lawn in the fall.
